It is not rent. Nothing about your website depends on it. Cancel tomorrow and the site stays live, stays yours, and keeps working exactly as it did the day before. You stop getting the monthly work, and that is the whole difference.
Plenty of trades never take one, and that is a perfectly sensible decision. If you are comfortable changing a photo or a price yourself, you probably do not need me every month. Take a plan when you would rather spend that hour on site than on a laptop.
